The current crop of Romanian SAR series postban AK type rifles suffer from an ugly finish job, wood that appears to have been coated in maple syrup, and no muzzle brake.

 

Our current special offering is SAR1/2/3 refinishing packages with muzzle threading and brake/spring loaded retainer installation included.

 

Additionally, we will restore the wood furniture on your SAR 1/2/3 by removing the maple syrup and resanding the wood, applying a mixture of tung oil, linseed oil, dryer, and stain for a mere 35 dollars more. The results are breathtaking.

 

Also, on the SAR 2s and 3s the cleaning rod "walks" out from under the barrel during firing. A mild annoyance, but an annoyance just the same.  The intstallation of a muzzle brake retains this cleaning rod. 

NOTE: SAR 1s can accomodate a "slant" comp or an AK74 type brake. It must be US made and threaded 14mm x 1 Left Hand thread. SAR 2s and 3s, require a US made brake threaded 1/2 x 28tpi Right hand thread.

The SAR 1/2/3 special includes refinish of one magazine to match. Yes, Bakelite 5.45mm mags can be coated and baked.
